Project Description

Our project is focussing on rejuvenating Vauxhall, through a cohesive masterplan which aims to increase the permeation of people into and through the currently restrictive environment and to promote a secure, diverse and attractive community. This will be achieved by encouraging people to this location, both through changing the current trends of pedestrian and road traffic, and by creating a continuous narrative throughout the Vauxhall area which uses the railway arches as a feature to enrich the space. This narrative will aim to promote the rising artistic culture of Vauxhall, through the creation of installations in the local parks and other areas that reflect the railway arches, where the artistic influence can be nurtured and celebrated by the local community and tourists alike.
